It was a intense year, personally and musically. I’m thankful but also exhausted.  

With the label Urban Lurk Dominik and me did a lot of shows, starting in May. My personal Urban Lurk highlights: Ganetta’s first show at Einbaumöbel, Spirito di Lupo and Exek. We did several tape releases. Some of them still stuck in my head (after dubbing them at home and listening to the record at least 30 times):

Tired Purple

I saw Tired Purple first time this year in July at Venster, together with Operant and Rosa Nebel. Tired Purple was opening the Fractal Nights event, presenting their newest release „Das letzte Mal“.

I was really enjoying the energy, self confidence and performance on stage. Sometimes I have hard times watching bands und artists focused and with my full attention. Tired Purple somehow bound me to the packed, hot and sweaty Venster room. I’m happy that there will be a new Tired Purple release out soon via Urban Lurk, beginning of 2023.

Low Life

at Tanke Simmering was maybe my favorite show I attended this year. I have only good memories of this night, spending it together with special people.

Always a pleasure to attend the events in Kapu Linz and very special this year:

Steel City Sorcery Festival in September. I remember coming to Linz on Friday having severe throbbing pain in my head and a migraine attack which forced me to take some painkillers, rest and sleep until my performance with Gates of Londra around 1:00 am.

On Saturday it started early with four personal highlights in a row:

After that fantastic package I was totally satisfied and Konfession, which played their first show in Linz and presented their newest release managed to carry me back in time. I saw the 18 year old Black Metal-Me standing there and enjoying total old school worship.

My personal musical power source this year was/is

Peace Vaults

Making music with Kristina, aka A.T. helps me a lot and sometimes feels like a magical bond between two tired messengers, wandering around and dreaming. Der Eber lebt!

We released two tapes this year and played several shows. Thanks a lot to Nolte and Mo Morast helping us out on the live drums. Currently we are working on new stuff.

Parasite Dreams

Arriving there Friday night, drinking beer and vodka and playing a show the next day, high noon in the August sun in a circus tent was a funny experience.
