To me (and apart from closing on me as the fucking worst of the worst years of death des Todes in terms of live performing, thank you very much 2022), 2022 mostly meant bouncing around as an obliviously enthusiastic audience at live shows; it was a year of getting past my covid scare (still didn’t have it!) and turning into one sweaty, pulsating bundle with everybody else who’d squeeze themselves into DIY run shoebox venues filled to capacity (and then some). All my 2022 albums (two of which were released in 2021) play out as summer shows:

June 20, 2022, 1bm Wien. It’s a 100 degrees (Celsius) out. Spirito’s Inner Peace Punk brings Einbaumöbel to a freaking boil. Everything inside of me liquifies and spills to the floor. i’m happy.

June 26, 2022, Skulpturenpark Graz. Puke Puddle have just finished playing a so-so outdoor show, my bandmate Tina Bauer and i are unenthusiastically collecting our stuff and complain that we want to go to sleep right away but can’t, when Tony starts their set. As if by magic (Tony’s magic!), our energies are immediately restored. We jump up and down as we yell along the hooks.
