AGF live
AGF aka Antye Greie-Ripatti a sound artist and electronic music producer. Her work inhabits an augmented space where pounding {Berlin} experimental after-techno, spoken word, abstract video art, feminism and radical ecology create a self-sustaining environment. Originally from East Germany, she started to develop a DIY approach early on, while also using her voice to fight against oppression by supporting marginalized communities and calling out injustice, most recently through female:pressure, a support community and promotional platform for female-identified electronic musicians. Currently based in Northern Finland, Antye founded the local arts organization Hai Art in Hailuoto. Since its inception in 2011, Hai Art has been involved in numerous sound-related projects, focusing on working with children. Antye acts as its director, curator and workshop instructor. Active since the early 90’s, she has collaborated with strong names in electronic music such as French pioneer Eliane Radigue, German legends Gudrun Gut and Ellen Allien, British avantgardist Kaffe Matthews, Finnish IDM treasure Vladislav Delay and classical composer Craig Armstrong.
PALMOVKA live
Lucia Udvardyová is a music journalist, curator, organiser and musician. She was a researcher at the TV and Film School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU). She co-founded Easterndaze, a project that aims to document and interconnect the emerging underground scenes in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as the tape label Baba Vanga, focusing on experimental electronics. She works for SHAPE+, a pan-European audiovisual platform, and is also the film curator at WOMEX. Besides this, she has collaborated with a number of institutions and initiatives, including Central European University (CEU), CTM Festival, Cashmere Radio, Czech Radio, BR Klassik/ARD, IKLECTIK London, Norient, Resonance FM, The Listening Biennial, and many others.
CHRA live
Chra is the alter ego of Viennese author, DJ, music addict and radio/TV presenter Christina Nemec. After a period experimenting with low frequencies and noise effects, chra started to work on more club-friendly beats, using sinewaves processed through a tape recorder and other analogue and digital tools to allude to landscapes, territories, silence and extraordinary and extreme situations. She is also a member of Shampoo Boy and SV Damenkraft, has made performance works with Lydia Lunch, and runs her own label, Comfortzone.
GUTA! dj-set
Unsettling robot choirs, metallic kicks, folk instruments and gut-churning basslines slice the air in a refreshing union of Eastern European polyrhythmics. Genres are banned from the unique sound of Guta!, who shows up only minutes before a set, citing “I was too anxious” then proceeds to hand out gummy bears to the audience, charming across the intimate venues of Paris, Bratislava, Prague, Budapest, Krakow and Vienna. Co-curator of a charity music compilation, recommending albums for magazine music charts, being the degreeless underdog on panels, pulled off stage by promoters mid-set for playing death metal – just Guta! things.
