Hello, how are you?

I feel strange but quite okay! Seeing the basic principles of neoliberalism heavily deranged gives reason to hope, if you don’t deny the unprecedented exploitation of people and nature as the base of our usual prosperity. On the other hand the whole lockdown situation was also shocking and paralyzing of course.

Where are you right now?

I went to my girlfriends families house on the countryside some days ago. There is little we could do in Vienna that we cannot do here and its a very nice contrast.

Which sounds surround you?

An idyllic rural soundscape with lots of animals and silence.

Have you been productive so far? What are you working on?

Not really. I am mainly working on my table tennis skills.

I like to imagine the whole situation as some international strike against neoliberalism. According to this fantasy it feels right to do little but contemplate and question the pervasive urge to produce.

I started some new collaborations with friends though.

What inspires you right now?

I feel relaxed but not inspired. Maybe there is a connection.

What’s your opinion on live-streams? You see any alternative ways to support the music community?

Maybe it is a nice idea and better than nothing but it did not attract my attention so far.
For me the idea of „live“ implies not only sharing the same time but also the same space.
Money and attention for the artists is another issue as well.
I am currently working on alternative concepts for PARKEN but i don´t want to reveal anything before it is sorted out.

What are you afraid of?

That we don’t use the occasion for any good corrections and return to normal – or worse. And it is also frightening to see how our society gets labeled in terms of relevancy.

What is the gig or occasion you were most looking for, that was cancelled in this period?

I have a new project together with Robert P. called PRIVAT and our debut LP should be out soon on alter records. I was looking forward to our release shows in Berlin and London this month.
