“Every time I create an experimental / ambient / free-style mix, I get quite emotional. It’s different from making a club-oriented techno mix during which I usually feel joyful and energetic. The journey between ambient sounds, slow beats, tender rhythmic structures and harsh, fast and dark tunes seems to expose the different layers of emotions I got inside me. They all exist at once, I think, but often hidden beneath each other. In the mix, though, it feels like I can unfold them over time. There’s serenity, darkness, strength, desire, anger, love.”
