Victoria Shen a.k.a. Evicshen is a sound artist, experimental music performer, and inventor based in San Francisco. Shen’s sound practice is concerned with the materiality/physicality of sound and its relationship to the human body. Her music features analog modular synthesizers, vinyl/resin records, and self-built electronics. Shen’s music eschews conventions in harmony and rhythm in favor of extreme textures and gestural tones.

Shen is notably the inventor of Needle Nails, acrylic nails with embedded turntable needles allowing her to play up to 5 grooves of a record at once. Shen’s DIY approach extends beyond just instruments but also music releases. Her debut LP, Hair Birth, features copper album art that transforms the cover into a loudspeaker through which the record can be played. Recently, Shen has started releasing hand-made resin records embedded with found materials, each piece functions not only as playable music media but as unique art objects.

Jana Woodstock is a Kyiv-based electronic DJ, currently located in Berlin, who gains more and more attention from around the world. She started with heavy banging techno selections and gradually expanded her music choice with more colors of dark – EBM and noisy industrial tracks, adding some more slow and trancy melodies, now more concentrating on electro and own music production. Jana is a resident and founder of SNAKES (Kyiv/Montreal) and CXEMA party series and frequently plays on the biggest electronic festivals of Ukraine.

Since 2014, Codex Empire has built an international reputation for dark and intense techno productions and live shows.

Mahk Rumbae – the British born, Vienna based producer behind Codex Empire – has been creating challenging experimental electronic music for more than 30 years working as one half of industrial/experimental band Konstruktivists as well as a number of varied solo and side-projects. Combining this background in dark electronic music with heavy rhythmic elements makes Codex Empire an intense and simultaneously danceable experience both live and on record.

Codex Empire has performed over 100 live shows in England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Japan, France, Italy, Holland, Belgium, Russia, Austria, Spain, Poland, Switzerland, Sweden, Ukraine, Georgia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Greece, Lithuania and numerous appearances in Berlin at Berghain, Tresor, Arena Club, Suicide Circus and Boiler Room.

After releasing several well received EPs on aufnahme + wiedergabe, HORO, Sacred Court and Khemia Records, as well as numerous remixes and appearances on V/A compilations, Codex Empire released his full-length debut album ‘Slow Erosion’ in February 2019 on aufnahme + wiedergabe.

Mike Nylons is the electronic music moniker of visual artist János Borsos. Mike is active in the Hungarian scene since the early 2000s. He is working in genres ranging from experimental to noise techno – he co-founded the art collectives The Corporation, Lőrinc Borsos and Legion. With his comrades he is organizing exhibitions and thematic events which combine installative arts with live electronic music in the mines of Art Quarter Budapest.

Tiredpurple is a Vienna–based industrial and darkwave artist. With a unique blend of hard–hitting drums, haunting melodies and gritty vocals, Tiredpurple has created a signature sound that captivates both die–hard fans and new listeners alike.

GNEVER (Laura Hatting, also known as Mariähymen die Ekelhafte or DJ Pechmarie/fuck off and die) centers around experiences and expressions of violence, and in doing so, refuses to adapt to limitations such as genre or ingroup language.

GREENSEQUENCE dj-set / pres. by Busy Action

In his eyes, Gabber is the Punk movement of the electronic music scene. The freedom of being yourself as long as there is always respect to the people next to you. Raised with the pearls of 60s & 70s ‘Rock N’ Roll’ Greensequence was given at 11 years old a hard drive full of music from his cousin, where he first came into contact with Hardcore. He quickly became obsessed with this sound and started digging between all the subgenres, where the industrial and early hardcore mainly got his attention.

Right after finishing school he started studying audio engineering and music production to broaden his field on a musical level. Back then in class he used the Arturia Sequencer and the first pattern he recorded came up in the midi channel as ‘GREENSEQUENCE’. At that time he was already spinning at parties and wanted to step up his game by starting to produce his own tracks. He mainly got influenced by the 90s oldschool sound of Gabber, where ‘3 Steps Ahead’ is still to this day his biggest inspiration. Feeling like his work transcends music like a story.

Today he owns and works at a recording studio in Spain. Released tracks on Mokum, Rave Instinct, No New Style & many more. From vinyl spinning to producing, this artist from Barcelona knows how to pour his musical creativity into any form.
