Conny Zenk is based in Vienna/ Austria, working with performance, video, and sound art in the context of urban architecture, feminism, and the city. Her working method is transdisciplinary and artistically explorative using digital and analog interfaces, vehicles, and media. In 2017 she founded the participatory event series RAD Performance. Since 2007, she has been working in the field of visual music with artists of electronic, experimental, and contemporary music and in the field of dance, performance, theatre, and film.
Her works have been shown on festivals such as Donaufestival Krems, Ars Electronica Festival, ImPulsTanz Vienna, urbanize! Festival – dérive, Saint Ghetto Festival Bern, Mapping Festival Geneva, Festival du Nouveau Cinema Montreal, Mixtur Festival Barcelona, Aspekte Salzburg, Electronic Music Week Shanghai, CoC-Art Festival Torun, and many more.
Conny Zenk studied Digital Art at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and Experimental and Electroacoustic Music at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Additional studies: Gender Studies at the University of Vienna and Design & Innovation at the Tongji University Shanghai. She is currently in the PhD in Art program, as well as teaching at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.
