Hello, how are you?
Thanks. I’m fine.
Where are you right now?
I’m at home enjoying my daily one hour spare time when my partner takes our son for an afternoon walk.
Which sounds surround you?
The laughter, crying and mumbling of my son. The Neubaugürtel which sounds a little bit like ocean waves coming and going. The hum of my tape deck and the study windiness.
Have you been productive so far? What are you working on?
I constantly work on new and old material without a certain project in mind. Just creating music whenever I have to do so. For me it is impossible to stop working. Even when I go to bed I still think about new ideas of rewiring my home studio or new production ways.
What inspires you right now?
My son and my partner inspire me a lot. Also different instagram channels of other musicians, architect related stuff and nature.
Reading material you can recommend?
“Guess How Much I love you“ and the manual of the Roland JV2020.
Ryuichi Sakamoto’s NTS debut (22.09.’17): https://www.nts.live/shows/guests/episodes/ryuichi-sakamoto-22nd-september-2017
All these fantastic tutorials by True Cuckoo. Beside the fact that he explains how a certain gear works, this guy is pure fun. Golden!
What’s your opinion on live-streams?
I’ve done it in the beginning of the crisis and enjoyed it for some time. But I quit after two weeks, because there was not enough time for a solid preparation. If you are up to it, just do it. Otherwise don’t watch it. Easy as that.
What are you missing most? What are you afraid of?
A proper boomy sound system and a proper boomy sound system.
What will change you think?
I’ve neither a diploma in virology nor a master in anything business related. So I can’t answer this question without a profound knowledge about that.
What is the gig or occasion you were most looking for, that was cancelled in this period?
Our WARNING party at Das Werk in the beginning of April.
Are you still able to pay your rent?
Yes, I am.
Thanks for the invitation and the possibility to be part of this very interesting series. Merci and take care!
