Hello, how are you?

Hi, I’m good, feeling very lucky and privileged to be able to stay at home.

Where are you right now?

In my apartment+studio in Vienna.

Which sounds surround you?

There’s a church close by so i hear the bell a lot, so far that’s kind of nice, lets see for how long, I just moved here. And there’s this constant noise from the clock in the gas oven that you can’t switch off, a beat that never stops.

Have you been productive so far? What are you working on?

I’ve been in quite a lethargic state most of the time, couldn’t be productive or creative a lot. But as i got invited to do a dj mix for sadsadplant on twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/sadsad_plant) and to prepare a live set for a VR festival called yanchi (bit.ly/yanchidoc) and for a live channel at http://thespiritualtriangles.com, i kinda was pushed to work which helped me a lot getting back on track. Shout outs to Chris at sadsadplant, Marlene at yanchi and Igor at Spiritual Triangle, thank you for inviting and activating me. I’m so grateful for that.

So I try to continue working on an EP release and a couple of tracks for IDKLANG as well as for MERMAID & SEAFRUIT.

What inspires you right now?

All those amazing people I’m lucky to have in my life.

I started watching Twin Peaks again, very good for mind and soul.

What’s your opinion on live-streams? You see any alternative ways to support the music community?

It’s better than having nothing happening. I miss real spaces though, rooms full of sound and people.

What are you missing most? What are you afraid of?

Going to shows or clubs, hanging out and dancing with friends.
I’m afraid of losing people I love.

What will change you think?

Right now it looks like the world is gonna be more messed up than ever with all that confusion going on, the rise of misinformation age. I was hoping that this virus crisis would be a final blow to capitalism. Guess I’m too romantic and naive.

What is the gig or occasion you were most looking for, that was cancelled in this period?

I was supposed to play some gigs in Portugal, was looking forward to that a lot.

Are you still able to pay your rent?

Luckily i got some money saved, so I will be fine for a while. But as making music has become my job – I’m composing and producing a lot for theatre performances next to playing gigs – I’m not sure when I’ll be earning money again. So I’m happily taking requests for mixing and/or mastering jobs.
